Tony Cascarino played centre forward for various British and French clubs.
He started his career with Gillingham making over 200 appearances and scoring 78 goals.
Millwall signed him in 1987 and he went to make 105 appearances for them and scored 42 goals.
In 1990 Graham Taylor the manager of Aston Villa signed Cascarino for a club record fee of 1.1 million.
Things didn't quite go to plan at Villa and he ventured north of the border making 24 appearances for Celtic.
Following 2 seasons at Chelsea 1992-94 he decided to make a move across the Channel to France where he played for Marseille and Nancy.
Internationally he won 88 caps and scored 19 goals for the Republic of Ireland national team, with whom he competed in UEFA Euro 1988 and two World Cups in 1990 and 1994.
Since retirement, Tony has presented on TalkSPORT radio and written for both The Times and Ireland's Hot Press magazine.
He has worked for both Sky Sports in England and TV3 and Today FM in Ireland.
