John Barnes MBE footballing career started at Watford in 1981.
He went onto to play for Liverpool, Newcastle United and was also a regular with he England team.
He then spent 10 years at Liverpool, where he helped them to win the FA Cup and two League Championships.
A brilliant solo goal against Brazil marked Johns arrival on the international scene and he went on to score 12 goals in 78 appearances for England.
The inspirational Jamaican-born player moved to Newcastle United in the 1997-98 season, boosting their Champions League squad and turning in many impressive performances before ending his Premiership career at Charlton.
John then linked up with former playing colleague Kenny Dalglish to become head coach at Celtic before turning his attention on a career in the media.
John also now speaks on the after dinner circuit with stories from his football career. After Dinner Speaker and TV Pundit.
John is also remembered for the famous "Anfield Rap" which he and other members of the Liverpool team released before the 1988 F.A. Cup Final.
