Chris Sutton
Former Professional Footballer, After Dinner Speaker, Presentation Night Host, Guest Apperances
Chris Sutton gained a place in British football's history books as the subject of the first £5million transfer between two British clubs. This occurred in July 1994 when he joined Kenny Dalglish's big spending Blackburn Rovers from Norwich City. Blackburn were not the only side willing to pay this sum of money for Sutton's striking talents in 1994. Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers and Inter Milan were all linked to him via the back pages of the tabloids.
After Blackburn Rovers were relegated Chris moved south to Chelsea where he played for one season. He then moved north of border to Celtic where he played over 100 games scoring 63 goals.
After brief spells with Aston Villa and Birmingham City he hung his boots up in 2007.
He also went into management and took over the reigns at Lincoln City for the 2009-10 season but was asked to leave after a short spell in charge!
Chris is now focusing his time on media work and after dinner talks.
